Singer-songwriter & multi-instrumentalist Daniel Lerner was born & raised in New York City, where he connected with musicians throughout the DIY scene.

Working as a guitarist for bands and artists helped solidify Daniel’s blend of sounds and styles – a combination of guitar-driven indie rock/pop, smooth R&B grooves and introspective songwriting. Daniel cites a number of influences in his songwriting – from modern acts like The Strokes, Frank Ocean, and Bon Iver to legends such as Joni Mitchell, The Sundays, Elliott Smith, and Bob Dylan.

Daniel Lerner’s debut album There’s Something I Wanted To Say is an indie rock and dream pop exploration into heartbreak, growth, youth, and mental health.

Daniel finds himself just as comfortable on the stage as he does in the studio. Having grown up in NYC, Daniel headlined a variety of venues such as Mercury Lounge, The Cutting Room, Bowery Electric, Rockwood Music Hall, Pianos, East Berlin, Silvana, and Shrine. Daniel received his undergraduate degree in Media Writing & Production at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.

In his time in Florida, he performed at Wynwood Yard, Yumbrella, Sofar Miami, Sofar Fort Lauderdale, Churchill’s, Sunset Tavern, Titanic Brewery, Open Stage Club, Grove Bay Grill, Wetlab, UC Patio, and The Globe.

Daniel has contributed his musicianship to a variety of projects; he provided production on Rachel Ohnsman’s “Space” on Moon Songs; he provided guitars on Christina Martino’s Release & Sorceress, Jason to Me’s It’s Alright To Be Alright, J.I.V.Y.’s Corrode, and Sara Latimer’s Passenger Seat.

Daniel continues to set his sights on new projects that expand his skills. In February 2020, he composed and produced the theme music for the Casual Pour podcast which premiered in March. He has extensive experience running recording studios, as well as managing and organizing equipment using the Frost School of Music Weeks Studio and Media Writing & Production Studio.
