Introducing Janet Renders – Tuneriver’s first international featured artist Tuneriver featured personalised songwriter

Janet, Tuneriver’s first Dutch artist, has always had a great passion for music and started grooming her skills through primary school. During secondary school she took a class, which helped her expand her horizons in singing and find the extent to which she was able to personalise songs. All the while she was working together with other music students to form their own voices, whilst practicing all kinds of singing styles.

Janet actually started out as a very shy girl, but she soon overcame her shyness and took to the stage, singing on open-mic evenings and other events, and has now grown to become a fully-fledged singer-songwriter, a solo artist and as a singer in her band ‘The First Resort’.

She also gives guitar lessons and has won official competitions. She has performed during the international Four Days Marches in Nijmegen – an event that promotes sport and exercise – and is currently studying Music Therapy at the HAN University of Applied Sciences in Nijmegen.
