People of the Year 2019 - Lewis Capaldi

As we approach the end of the year, it’s time to look back and celebrate some of the people who have made a mark in 2019.

We’ve just cracked open another box of Highland Shortbread in honour of St. Andrew’s Day in Scotland, so it seems apt to create a song for the one-and-only, ‘America’s Sweetheart’, Lewis Capaldi.

Lewis has achieve phenomenal success on both sides of the Atlantic this year with his single “Someone You Loved”, which topped the UK Singles Chart in March 2019, where it remained for seven weeks, and in October 2019 it reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.

His incredible sense of humour and benevolence became a viral social-media hit earlier this year when he responded to jibe’s from Noel Gallagher, previously from Brit-rock band Oasis, by recording a stream of hilarious videos on Instagram.

We’d like to recognise Lewis Capaldi as a wonderful human being with a good heart and an amazing voice – we’ve created a song for him which you can listen to here. Enjoy!
